Any review of one of my books is a *good* review, because it means people are talking about them. The positive reviews I get on Amazon makes me smile, because they mean that someone read one of my books and found it useful. I can’t control what other people think about my books, though. Some people won’t like them. Some will even hate them. But I asked them to pay, so I put my own head above the parapet. Criticism gives me the chance to improve my writing, anyway, if I let it. Positive reviews are lovely, because they boost my confidence and make me want to write on. But I have to be alert to the danger of letting them go to my head. I am only as good as my next book. Hats off Laura McInerney for the reviews she’s putting into Schools Week. No matter whether you love or hate them, they get you talking about books. Just please, for the love of god, don’t reply to them. 😉

Ah! The big tussle between @heymisssmith and @learningspy!
Well, I have 100% respect for Miss Smith. I dont know her but it is the right thing to do if someone ask you to review their book and you do not like the book. It takes a female to do that as I know many men who would done a bit of back-slapping in the review and then told people verbally how much they dislike the ‘gufk’ they were given to read.
